## Managing Inbox Views

Inbox Views allow you to organize and filter your work so you and your team can focus on what matters most. Once views are created, you can control how they appear in your inbox by reordering, showing, hiding, editing, or deleting them as your needs change.

To manage your views, click on **Manage Views** at the bottom of the Inbox Views Panel.

## Creating a View

To create a new inbox view, open your inbox and click on the **Manage Views** button at the bottom. Click on the **Create New View** button in the bottom left to add a new view. Give it a short descriptive name, select the Type of view (private or Share), and select the default sort order for the cases in this view. Click **Add View** to save it and make it available in your inbox sidebar.

If you changed the View Type to Shared, you can optionally share this View with the entire organization or specific Teams. Note that you need the Manage Shared Views permission in order to do this.

## Reordering Views

You can change the order in which views appear in your inbox sidebar in the Manage Views modal. With the modal open, click, hold, and drag a View up or down and drop it in your preferred sequence. The new order is saved when you click Save.

## Showing and Hiding Views

If you want to keep a view available without displaying it in your sidebar, you can hide it. Hidden views remain intact and can be restored at any time. To show or hide a view, open the view management menu and toggle the visibility setting for the relevant view (the eye icon on the right side of each view). This is useful for views that are only needed seasonally or by specific team members.

## Editing a View Name and Type

To update a view's name, type or default sort order, open the view's settings by selecting the edit option from the view menu. You can do this by clicking **Manage Views** and then clicking on the **Edit View** button (the pencil icon). This will open the view settings. You can then make your changes and save them. Edits take effect immediately, and the view will update to reflect the new same and settings.

### Editing View Filters

To edit view filters, you do this from the view itself, not the Manage Views modal. Click on the view you want to update in the list of views. Click on the filters or add filter buttons to make changes to the saved filters. Once you make changes, you will see three new buttons appear at the bottom. On the Save View button you can choose **Update View Filters** to save this view with the newly updated filters or you can **Save as New View**, which will create a new View with the updated filters and leave the current view unsaved.

## Deleting a View

To permanently remove a view, open the view menu and select **Delete**. You will typically be asked to confirm the action before the view is removed. Deleting a view does not affect the underlying conversations — it only removes the saved filter configuration from your inbox.
